Things to do in and around Grassington
Walking
Wharfedale
is walking country par excellence! - From gentle river and
woodland strolls to challenging treks over the open fells,
Wharfedale has it all. See ancient priories, churches and
hidden places on "The Dales Way" by the banks of
the tumbling river Wharfe, be awed by nature's wonders at
Kilnsey Crag or be exhilarated by the panorama of the open
fell. A programme of guided walks is organised by the Yorkshire
Dales National Park.
Pony Trekking
Enhance your enjoyment of the Yorkshire Dales experience from
the saddle of a horse or pony. Novice rides to experienced
trekkers are catered for at Kilnsey Trekking Centre.
Caves
The
underground world of stalagmites and stalactites can be experienced
at Stump Cross Caverns and several other show caves in the
area. For those of a more experienced nature why not go on
a Yorkshire Dales National Park organised potholing event.
